I was browsing through Etsy this morning and came across this super cute red cape. What a wonderful gift this would be for a little girl who likes to pretend she's in a fairytale. The owner of the shop, Charlene, will even make a Big Bad Wolf hat to go with it! How fun is that! You can find this hooded cape at crochetedbycharlene . This is a great Etsy shop that specializes in crocheting. Charlene has over 200 crocheted items in her shop! I am eyeing up a nice plastic bag holder myself, since the pastic bags have taken over the floor of my pantry. So join me over at crochetedbycharlene and check out all the great handmade items. Maybe even cross another name off that shopping list.Embroidery Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281253363860434298noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863234430826649670.post-69599020215699144452011-11-02T08:38:00.001-04:002011-11-02T08:40:00.323-04:00Well, it is November and the holidays are sneaking up at us. This is the time of year I really start to get into the spirit. I start watching Christmas movies and thinking about how I will be decorating the house. I start planning the Thanksgiving meal. I so enjoy hosting Thanksgiving. The day just isn't the same without a big turkey and lots of family and football. Thanksgiving has always been special to me. I remember when I was a child that was the holiday we always spent with my Dad's family in the U.P. of Michigan.
This is also the time of year I get serious about making gifts for family and friends. I love giving handmade items as gifts. To me they seem a little more special. If you don't have the time or talents to make those handmade items, but still love them a great place to find them is on Etsy. I recently found a lovely Etsy shop that has some great gift items. The shop is magdamagdaFashion. This is my favorite scarf. I love the colors. You can even pick from different colors. This scarf is only $9.90 and very low shipping of $2.90. This would make a great exchange gift for those family and work parties! I know I would be thrilled to receive this beautiful scarf. So, head on over and check out magdamagdaFashion and check a few items off your holiday to do list.
Well, Christmas is less than 2 months away now, hard to believe. As much as I don't like cold weather, I love the holiday season. I have been working on ideas for Christmas shirts. I am trying to create shirts that combine tie dye with embroidery. This is an example of one of the ideas I had. The shirt is tie dyed and the Santa hat is then embroidered on. I really like how this shirt turned out. I think I will be making one for myself!Embroidery Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281253363860434298noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863234430826649670.post-4373134299589978442011-10-24T13:01:00.000-04:002011-10-24T13:01:14.158-04:00

The boy's and I spent the day Saturday at Montrose Orchards for the Swartz Creek Chamber of Commerce Family Fun Day. It was a great day! The sun was shinning and the temperature was just right. There were games, music, crafts, hayrides, and food. My youngest, who likes to talk to strangers, put a Halloween shirt on and ran around asking people if they wanted to buy our shirts.Embroidery Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281253363860434298noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863234430826649670.post-52435768935548165172011-10-24T09:30:00.000-04:002011-10-24T09:30:47.174-04:00Taking the leap!Hello and welcome to my blog! I have decided to take the leap into blogging to help and promote my Etsy shop, Embroidery Queen. This will be a learning experience for me and I am not really sure what this blog will look like a year from now. However, my current plan is to focus on the products that I am currently making and selling in my Etsy shop. I am also going to share with you other Etsy shops and the great products they have to offer. So, let the adventure begin!Embroidery Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281253363860434298noreply@blogger.com0
